The Massillon Area Car Club was Founded by Herb Geiger in 1974, Initially to provide more cars for the Memorial Day Parade in Downtown Massillon.
Our passion is cars and our interest in classic and antique cars brings us all together to share what we love. As a group we have a collection that ranges from rare and vintage cars to some of the newest made, and we love to show them off. While we'll always appreciate the classics, we have expanded to include more modern day models, making way for the cars that are instant hits!
"I've never seen a car I didn't like" is our motto! We focus on pre-1990 Cars, but all Collectible Cars are welcome. We pride ourselves with the diversity our club has to offer. Gear heads to novices are welcome!
Our club met on Saturday May 10 at the Lion's Club. The meeting was hosted by Sally who cooked up Johnny Marzetti as our main dish and it was excellent. Thank you Sally for a good time. As usual our ladies made up some side dishes/salads to good along with it. We all enjoyed ourselves.
We missed some of our members and ;hope to see them back soon. Our group is very close and we all trust ;that our companionship will help anyone who is interested. Margie mentioned that she would need help for the August Hobo Dinner. Anyone willing to help should contact her.
We heard of at least 3 car shows of course and learned that the Massillon show is in June. Gene and Jim mentioned shows in Strasburg and Beach City which are same day as each other on July 19th.It was suggested that our club make an appearance and at least one of these. This would be great if we could do it.
Gene had a game for us which featured stick figures jousting. He is quite the inventor. Our winner was Bob Becker.
Our June Meeting will be held at Denny's on June 7 at 5PM. Anne and Linda will be our hosts. We all look forward to seeing you and those that could not attend this meeting.
PS: Take a look at the MACC Website. Gene has done a great job here.

Our next Car Club meeting will be hosted by Anne and Linda. It will be held at the Dennys Restaurant on Tusc in Canton, Ohio on June 7th. Meeting will start at 5:00PM.
Each member is asked to bring a side item or dessert.
On January 6th we lost a great friend and Massillon Car Club Member Carl Devoll. There are no words to describe what Carl means to our club. Meetings and club events will not be the same without Carl.
Services for Carl were held on January 11th at Spidell Funeral Homes in Brewster, Ohio. Most of the Massillon Area Car Club Members turned out to say goodbye to our dear friend. Carl, you made an everlasting impression on our club and all of it's members. Thank you for your wisdom and kindness. You will not be forgotten.
Our Featured Member for January is Our fearless leader and club president, Roger Shaffer. Roger coordinates our club activities and holds our club together. Roger, thanks for all that you do!
For the 2024 Christmas Season the Massillon Area Car Club raised money and donated Christmas presents to children suffering with childhood cancers. Funds were also donated to the parents of some of these children to help out with their financial obligations. We feel blessed to be able to help others in need. Yes, our club is centered around the vintage automobile hobby, but we are also focused on helping others and improving our community.
Thank you Massillon Area Car Club members for all of the outstanding things you do!
The Massillon Area Car Club would like to thank Dick and Charlotte Studer for their service to the community. At our May meeting Dick and Charlotte requested that we donate to a handicapped child in need. The club voted to donate twice the requested amount to this worthy cause. We are in this club to enjoy and share our hobby, but it is so nice when we are also given the opportunity to give back to our community and to those in need. Thank you Dick and Charlotte for affording us that opportunity!
Happy Birthday Ann Mayle and Merl Garman.
The Massillon Area Car Club would like to wish Mary the happiest of birthdays and many more to come!
Bob and Sue Hughes with their Restomod Ford Pickup.
I like to call this truck the Wolf in Sheep's clothing. Bob and Sue built this truck and it looks like a super mint example of a 60's vintage Ford Pickup, but in reality it is a Corvette in disguise! If you see this truck sitting at a red light, you might want to think twice before revving your engine. This wolf has teeth!
Merle and Linda Garmin with their retro Thunderbird. Merle and Linda are building a 1947 Ford Restomod Pickup. It should be on the road next month and will be featured here as soon as we get some pictures!
